September is Office Manager Appreciation Month (OMAM). OMAM was created by CareCredit and the American Association of Dental Office Management (AADOM) to celebrate this key position. Office managers have a unique and important role in a dental practice. They are often responsible for managing the systems and procedures that keep a dental practice running smoothly. They can be responsible for many duties such as human resources, scheduling, compliance, reporting, office production, collection, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, treatment coordination, insurance coordination, and training - to name just a few.

How long have you worked with Dr. Peck?
I have worked for Dr. Peck for 9 1/2 years - almost a decade!
How long have you been in the dental field?
I have been in the dental field for 30+ years. I love being able to help patients navigate their dental health.
What is your favorite part about working at Smile New Braunfels?
My favorite part of working here is the relationship I have with our patients. I love making sure they are receiving the best care possible and that their experience is seamless and comfortable.
What are your main duties at Smile New Braunfels?
My main duties include managing day to day operations to make sure the office runs smoothly. I’m responsible for accounting and bookkeeping, and making sure your dental insurance works for you!
What do you think patients should look for in a dental office?
A good dental office should have staff that is skilled, honest and caring. It’s important to read reviews and to hear what your neighbors have to say.
Early bird or night owl?
I was definitely born a night owl.
Where is your happy place?
I love to be on the beach or relaxing by my pool.
What is your favorite thing to do in New Braunfels?
My husband and I love to take advantage of the bustling live music scene here in New Braunfels, especially the blues/rockin' blues.
